Lightweight Componentized Direct-Drive Wind Turbine Generator As Only Provided With SYNCHRO-SYM:

With the economy of scale, Wind Turbines larger than 10 Megawatt are not uncommon. Large Wind Turbines necessarily have slow revolving propellers, which are revolving at 5-20 RPM, and to avoid the complexity, maintenance, and reliability of these monstrosities, slow revolving, direct drive rare-earth permanent magnet (RE-PM) electrical generator systems are preferred with diameters much larger than 10 meters.  Because of the persistent magnetism safety and handling concerns of RE-PM, the complete RE-M electrical generator system is shipped from the generator manufacturer, installed in the wind turbine nacelle, and then the nacelle, which is greater than 600 metric ton and 10 meters in diameter, is shipped to the wind turbine site, where it is then lifted greater than 100 meters and mounted on the top of the wind turbine tower. The transportation and installation logistics, which comprises one-of-a-kind cranes, ships, and trucks, must be well planned.

Without the safety and handling issues of RE-PM but providing twice the power density at half the cost and loss per unit of power rating, only the similar rotor and stator assemblies (with embedded BRTEC) SYNCHRO-SYM can be shipped, field installed, and turn-key operational (see lightweight, componentized direct drive electric generator for new or refurbished wind turbines). Likewise with the programmable power stacking structure provided by MOTORPRINTER, smaller diameter but low speed SYNCHRO-SYMs can be stacked lengthwise to incrementally provide the necessary power rating.

With twice the power density and octuple the peak torque at half the cost and half the loss per unit of electric machine power rating, without RE-PMs, and with the electromagnetic symmetry between primary and secondary ports as provided by the automatic precision control of BRTEC, only SYNCHRO-SYM & SYNCHRO-SYM Technologies allows for a logistically enabling componentized, small diameter, slow speed, direct-drive high power wind turbine generator system.
