OUR COMPETITORS:
As a collaboration teaser, “Motor manufacturer Infinitum secures $35-million Series E extension (Aug 29, 2024),” verifies Infinitum Electric has obtained more than $424M of funding since 2017 with the CEO stating, “We look forward to further expanding our company to meet customer demand and accelerate production of our motor system.” It should be pointed out that the ongoing funding is for “expanding” (or more appropriately, “exporting”) the manufacture of Infinitum’s dexterously complex electric motor system (EMS) to low labor cost Mexico from its funding USA base country and to “accelerate production” of Infinitum’s seemingly unready electric motor system as revealed by Infinitum’s Chief Strategy Officer in a March 2024 article. The vast amount of funding (> $424M since 2017) may demonstrate Infinitum’s prowess of creatively marketing their asymmetric electric motor system (EMS), which is most heavily reliant on the obviously harmful environmental, exploited labor, and geopolitical consequences of rare-earth permanent magnets (RE-PM), as having better performance than another optimally designed asymmetric EMS, such as Turntide Technologies’ RE-PM free, switch reluctance motor (SRM) with $492M in funding since 2017, by the empirical application of legacy off-the-shelf packaging techniques that in accordance with EMS physics, would necessarily show similar results if equitably applied between EMS contestants. More realistically, the vast amount of funding shows investors: 1) recognize the huge market potential of providing so-called advanced electric motor systems, which are the backbone of the global electricity transformation, such as for electric transportation propulsion, and therefore, essential for our clean, efficient, and sustainable energy future, but 2) are technologically limited to legacy “asymmetric EMS” technology, until Best Electric Machine’s extraordinary new, RE-PM free, and patented EMS circuit and control technology, called SYNCHRO-SYM, with a verified 2-8x the performance/price of any other EMS.
No different from all other asymmetric EMS competitors’ inequitably comparing EMS contestants with different design parameters and packaging techniques, beware of Infinitum’s marketing article, “Motor manufacturer Infinitum secures $35-million Series E extension,” that in contradiction with EMS physics, visually implies (without the clarity of the dotted arrows) that one Infinitum axial-flux PCB stator disk replaces the huge traditional radial-flux stator cylinder:
